Consent Foundation is a not-for-profit, industry collaborative organization committed to furthering the cause of data privacy. By fostering transparency and collaboration through open-source standards, we aim to create adaptable and secure systems for the digital age.

Membership Categories

1. Founder Members Organizations or individuals forming the governing body of the Consent Foundation providing strategic direction, leadership, and core funding to guide the vision and long-term goals of the Foundation.

2. Technical Members Experts and organizations contributing to the development of open-source standards, frameworks, maintenance and privacy-enhancing technologies that form the backbone of secure digital ecosystems.

3. Policy Members Stakeholders specializing in law, governance, and public policy who help align the Foundation’s initiatives with national and international data protection regulations such as the DPDPA and global privacy norms.

4. Consent Managers Entities registered or operating as consent managers under data protection frameworks who collaborate in designing interoperable and transparent consent architectures and other collaboration systems.

5. Data Processors Organizations responsible for processing personal data on behalf of data fiduciaries, working to implement ethical data practices and mandated with consent validation and other compliance activities.

6. Data Exchange Systems Platforms and networks enabling secure, auditable, and consent-driven data sharing. They partner with the Foundation to get access to consent artifacts and facilitate data transfer at scale for enable public good.

7. Institutional & Corporate Members Enterprises, research organizations, and institutions that wish to support to the advancement of privacy innovation and support the Foundation’s programs through participation and advocacy.

8. Student & Academic Members Students, researchers, and academicians exploring the evolving landscape of data privacy, technology, and ethics. They participate in projects, internships, and collaborative studies advancing privacy research.
